Bring your Fable library to Reedr.
Fable doesn’t give you a way to export your own data — no download button, no file. So moving your shelf takes one small, free extra step. Here’s the whole thing, start to finish — about five minutes.
Install ShelfBridge (free)
On a computer, open the Chrome Web Store and add the ShelfBridge extension. It’s a free, third-party tool made for exactly this — turning a Fable library into a spreadsheet Reedr can read.
Export your Fable library as a CSV
Open ShelfBridge and follow its prompt to sign in to your own Fable account. It reads your library and downloads it as a Goodreads-style CSV file — your books, ratings, and reading dates included.
Drop the CSV into Reedr
In Reedr, go to Settings → Import and drop that CSV in. Reedr reads it just like a Goodreads export — matching covers and editions, and setting aside anything ambiguous for you to confirm. Most libraries arrive in under five minutes.
Why the extra step?
It’s a Fable limitation, not a Reedr one — Fable simply doesn’t let you take your data out directly. Goodreads and StoryGraph both export a CSV themselves, so those import in one step with no extension needed.
