Why Reedr, now.
For more than a decade, I’ve tracked my reading on whichever site felt least bad that year. Goodreads gave me a database. Storygraph gave me a dashboard. Notion gave me a wiki. None of them gave me a place.
The shelf is the thing. The actual, physical shelf — sun-faded spines, the imprint of the readers who pulled each one down, a faint geometry of taste. When friends visit, they read the room by reading the shelf. That’s a feature.
What Reedr is
A reading life, beautifully kept. A shelf you can show. A way to remember the lines that linger. A small AI librarian for when you’re between books.
What Reedr is not
A social network. A leaderboard. A scrolling feed engineered to keep you on it. We send fewer emails on purpose.
What’s next
This is launch week. Public profiles, AI recommendations, year-round Wrapped, a four-theme shelf, the works. If it sounds like something you’ve been looking for, start a shelf. It’s free, and it’ll stay that way for everything that matters.
